Human trafficking. False imprisonment. Aiding and abetting. The wrongful death lawsuit names ten defendants — the allegations against the people around d4vd match the charges against Burke himself.
Filed the day after Celeste Rivas Hernandez's sixteenth birthday. The complaint names Colleen Burke, Josh Marshall, Sheldon Jacques, and their companies.
Jacques — Burke's live-in security guard — faces the sharpest claims. The lawsuit says he helped remove Celeste from her family and arranged Burke's continued access to her.
Celeste was reported missing three times. Deputies went to Burke's door on a welfare check. He told them he'd met her once at the beach.
Colleen Burke allegedly managed her son's finances. Josh Marshall booked international tours. Prosecutors say Celeste traveled with Burke to Las Vegas, London, and Texas.
He pleaded not guilty August 31 — despite testimony he earned ten to eleven and a half million dollars between 2023 and 2025.
Next court date: October 19.
