Trial Of Caleb Flynn Day 6: Cameras Put Alleigha WHERE That Night?

The prosecution used a neighbor’s surveillance system to tighten its timeline around Alleigha Botner. Joseph Stratman testified that his cameras showed no evidence of an outside intruder entering the property where she was house-sitting, while three clips showed a car leave, return, and leave again. Prosecutors used those videos to argue Alleigha was at the house during the window when they allege Ashley Flynn was killed.

Caleb Flynn, Ashley’s husband, has pleaded not guilty to 11 charges, including aggravated murder. The defense maintains Ashley was killed by an intruder during a burglary and says investigators settled on Caleb too quickly.

Jordan Hansen, pastor of Christian Life Center, testified about another part of the state’s case: church rules. He said relationships between staff members and volunteers are prohibited unless the people are married, and an extramarital affair would also violate policy. Hansen testified that Alleigha was staying at his home at the time and resigned from CLC the following weekend.

The defense used cross-examination to establish a limitation in the surveillance picture. Hansen said his house had no cameras inside or outside, with farmland and an open field behind it. Stratman’s videos may show what passed his cameras. They do not turn the entire property into a camera-covered box.
