Flynn Told Botner WHAT After Ashley Was Found and She Kept His Secret

Seven hours on the stand. Thirty-four binders. More than a hundred and seven thousand messages between Flynn and Botner — and the one thing she testified to that prosecutors didn't have to script.

Alleigha Botner described every stage of the relationship in the Caleb Flynn murder trial: the church internship at Christian Life Center in Butler Township, the physical turn in May 2024, the three hundred daily messages, the matching lightning bolt tattoos, the names they both called Ashley. She described months of messages where Flynn allegedly talked about wanting his wife gone — including one about staying up until 4 a.m. working through how.

She described her own response, read aloud in court: "I'm not asking that you take her life." She described her unsolved-homicide searches. The two devices lost on a Florida trip. The ChatGPT screenshots she allegedly sent Flynn the night before Ashley was found — with instructions on how to erase them.

In January 2026, Botner gave Flynn an ultimatum. His alleged message back the night of February 15: "I choose you. I'm free. Actions will come tomorrow." By the next morning, Ashley Flynn — a middle school volleyball coach and mother of two — was shot twice while sleeping in Tipp City. Flynn is charged with aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence. He's pleaded not guilty.

After Ashley was found, Botner testified that Flynn pulled her aside and said something that made her heart start pounding. She didn't call anyone. She deleted messages between them. She lied to the FBI when they came four days later. She didn't tell the truth until February 26.

Botner is not charged. No immunity deal. No search of her apartment, her vehicle, or her DNA. The prosecution put her on the stand as their witness.

The question she left there isn't about Flynn's guilt. It's about what she believed was going to happen — and whether she helped it along.
