Caleb Flynn Left WHAT on His Phone the Night Before Ashley Was Killed?!

Caleb Flynn thought he cleaned his phone. He deleted the texts. He scrubbed the apps. He wiped the AI tool he used to generate love songs for a woman who wasn’t his wife. When investigators pulled a full extraction, they recovered everything — and what was on that phone the night before Ashley Flynn was killed is the evidence that buried him.

A Miami County jury convicted Flynn on all nine counts — aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault, tampering with evidence — after deliberating roughly two hours. The prosecution called forty witnesses. The defense called none.

The phone held more than 107,000 texts to Alleigha Botner, a 21-year-old worship intern Flynn met at his own church. He took off his wedding ring so she wouldn’t know he was married. He called Ashley “douche” and “spawn of Satan” and told Botner he wanted her dead. Prosecutors printed the texts into 34 books — three cardboard boxes stacked in front of the jury.

Six months before the murder: “I was up until 4 a.m. last night crying, literally thinking of ways to kill her and not go to jail.” The night before: “I choose you. I’m free. Actions will come tomorrow.” Hours later: “It’s happening.” Prosecutors showed Flynn reached out to Botner before calling 911.

His Apple Watch tracked roughly 200 steps while he claimed to be sleeping in his daughters’ bedroom. A spike of 346 steps around 2:30 a.m. His Oura ring and AirPods connection data told the same story — he was awake and moving through the house while Ashley lay dead in their bed. Neighborhood cameras showed no intruder arriving or leaving. His side of the bed was undisturbed. Flynn faces life without parole, with sentencing set for October 5.
