Caleb Flynn's Daughters Told Him THIS Before Life Without Parole

Caleb Flynn entered his sentencing hearing still denying that he killed Ashley Flynn. He left with a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole and the words of his daughters hanging over the courtroom.
Their statements were read by relatives. One daughter said she would not visit him in prison. Another asked what their mother had ever done to deserve what happened and urged Flynn to tell the truth. Ashley's family asked for the maximum sentence while also speaking about forgiveness and the permanent damage the murder caused.
The jury had convicted Flynn on aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault, and evidence-tampering counts after prosecutors argued he shot Ashley in their bed and staged the home to look like a burglary. The state also used Flynn's 18-month affair with Alleigha Botner and more than 107,000 text messages to argue that his hostility toward Ashley and desire for a future with Botner had been building for months.
The second half of this combined episode moves from sentencing to motive. Bob Motta and Robin Dreeke examine why someone with divorce available might keep feeding a fantasy of escape until it becomes criminal action. That analysis is not a diagnosis and it does not replace the evidence. It is an attempt to understand the behavior that sat underneath a case now ending in life without parole.
