Caleb Flynn denied killing his wife at his own sentencing. The former worship leader had been convicted on all nine counts in the murder of Ashley Flynn in Tipp City, Ohio.
His daughters wrote impact statements that were read to the courtroom. The twelve-year-old addressed him as "Caleb" and told him she doesn't plan on visiting. The ten-year-old asked what her mother ever did to make him hate her so much.
Flynn spent his sentencing statement on himself. He told Ashley's parents he "failed" his wedding vows. A jury determined he ended his marriage with a 9mm handgun on February 16th.
His parents' letters praised his character and his faith. Neither mentioned Ashley by name. Judge Jeannine Pratt sentenced him to life without the possibility of parole.
