a Most Pleasant Surprise
Something very nice happened to me this morning that I thought I would share here. It really brightened my, well, whole week!
Thank you so much for your information and offer of assistance! I don't think I'm going to install a demo of Jaws 16 on this old machine just for this one file, because my friend isn't even sure if she'll be able to attend the event that the file relates to, but I will take note of that for future reference. I appreciate the tip very much.
Jaws 16 has an OCR function for this purpose. If it’s important, Perhaps you could right click on the file, save target as, and send the file along in email as an attachment. Someone could OCR it and send back the results. Alternatively, A demo version of Jaws 16 might allow you to do this yourself. In that case, while running Jaws you 1. open the file in Adobe Reader. 2. Press Insert+space bar 3. Press o for OCR. 4. Press d for document. With a lot of luck the results will come up in the virtual viewer and then they can be selected, copied to the clipboard and Vwala! No promises about how long it will take me to get to it, but DM me should you care for further help. Or send us the link and someone can comment back with the text if the file isn’t too long.
@kellmaster1 , the file is a PDF on a website. Unfortunately, it's a picture, so Adobe won't render it properly. I have an older version of Kurzweil, so I can't use the virtual printer function to convert it for her, otherwise that's what I would do. @calmwaters73 , thank you, friend. I appreciate your kind words so much. Hugs.

@Bloodredthorn: My Need To Help Others Response
Hi Anna, It was wonderful to get your comments and response, you are the first person to make a media (not text) response to one of my boo's or vlogs. There is a bit of distortion in the recording which made it a little hard to hear but I think I caught everything. You sound so like me! I love the fact that you have a physical reaction to tv shows the same way I do. I really like the tv show doctor who, and last season there was a scene where two characters saluted each other, in a emotionally climatic moment. My eyes filled up with tears, and I sat there and saluted the two of them back! I'm glad to know there is someone that also has a strong reaction if they think they have hurt someone or caused them pain. I just can't handle it. i was once at a live show of blade376's and we were raiding rooms on stickam. Raiding rooms is where you go into one someone elses live chat and say things. Anyway we were instructed to tease the girl there about the fact that she was typing very loudly. We did and the girl giggled and started getting paranoid about it. I ended up ditching the idea and just telling her that everyone loved her. Even in someone them simple and silly, I still felt bad! You sound like a great friend to have Anna, Keep it up! Jen xx
