Aristodemos in rehearsals - a zonzo from 1942

Oct 14, 2013, 11:23 PM, Lucca, Tuscany, Italy Anybody passing by the Jazz club last night would have heard the sound of a group of musicians battling with arrangements and melodies as they tried to put together a decent rendition of songs from at least 70 years ago.

The Aristodemo’s where in rehearsals practising ready for next Sunday when they will be appearing at the Festa della Castagna” in Careggine further up the valley in Garfagnana.

The Aristodemo’s have been making a name for themselves over the last few years with their version of Italian swing music from the 30s, 40s and 50s.

Yesterday they were grappling with a song by Riccardo Morbelli and Gino Filippini from 1942 which was first recorded by Ernesto Bonino - A Zonzo – strolling about
