R2015.001.0003 #nursing #histmed #GMMedicalMuseum transcript: "The organisation of the curriculum – and I had only just come into sort of Worcester, but it might have been in other places before then, was more of this Block System, so people would have, they would have the Introductory Course but after that they would have two weeks’ introduction to a particular types of nursing- so let’s say a two-week introduction to the Nursing of Surgical Patients, then they would go to a Surgical Ward for say, eight weeks ten weeks, then they would have a week's consolidation, then they would have two weeks Medicine, with time on a Medical Ward and so they got there theory specific to the practice placement that they were going to."
