Paula Tenwick

Episode 11,   Nov 24, 2020, 12:30 AM

This week I’m talking to Paula Tenwick.

Paula is a yoga teacher based in Leicester. She teaches Sun Power, Yin, Hot and Pregnancy yoga as well as pop dance sessions in her community at different local studios as well as at local village halls. Her instagram profile describes her as coffee drinking, gin-loving, swears too much and proof it’s never too late…she’s definitely a character!

Paula is a north London girl originally and, like many of my guests, she has come to yoga teaching relatively late in life, after a career which initially started in sales and marketing. She even sold pens to Tony Blair! Over time the corporate world took its toll. (Sound familiar?) Paula needed a fresh start and wanting the challenge of setting up her own business, she then established and ran her own coffee shop.

As well as teaching yoga, Paula is now a part time school teacher, again, something that she has qualified for quite recently - she works part time in a school for autistic children and tutors privately too. She is also dealing with the effects of the (dreaded) menopause so we’ll talk more about that - how is is impacting her and her work.

In addition,Paula is a crafter, a vegan and a rescuer of furries - she’s got a menagerie including dogs, a cat and hens so we’ll talk about her love of animals too. I just love Paula’s character and I think you can’t help but warm to her personality - I hope you enjoy listening to our conversation.
