Jul 14, 2021, 02:00 PM

Welcome to another episode and this week we are talking all about how to discover the power of deliberate rest, shorter working hours and managing our digital distraction. I speak with Alex Soojung-Kim Pang, who is the author of the book Shorter, which really distils how we can work better, smarter, and less. He identifies ways in which the four-hour working week has been successfully introduced across different companies, and he really investigates why it's an area that we should lean into a lot more and how the future of work will see us working in a more deliberate manner to increase our productivity and performance without burning out. His other book, Rest, is about why you get more done when you work less. He asks, how can we start to really harness the power of ritualizing and inviting rest into our lives, to become better communicators build stronger relationships and increase our creativity?

“Learning to respect rest, to layer it into our daily lives, helps us be more creative, helps us do better work and helps us have longer, more original lives.” – Alex
