Did the Prosecution Hand Lindsay Clancy the Case?

Fourteen days. More than seventy witnesses. The prosecution rested its case — and the defense may have been building theirs the entire time. Every prosecution witness who personally knew Lindsay testified under cross that she was a wonderful mother. The defense psychologist has met with Lindsay sixty times and told the jury she was psychotic. Lindsay’s hospital records say “critically ill, postpartum psychosis” while a hospital psychiatrist said she was “calm and cooperative.”
The defense admitted Lindsay killed her children before trial. The only question is criminal responsibility. Eric Faddis, defense attorney and former prosecutor, evaluates what the prosecution proved and where this goes.
