Lindsay Clancy's Chaplain NEVER Told the Jury THIS

Two people spent more time with Lindsay Clancy than anyone else connected to this case — her psychiatrist, who saw her fourteen times by video call, and a hospital chaplain who has visited her roughly two hundred times over three years. Neither one ever wrote down the thing her defense now needs a jury to believe. The psychiatrist testified Clancy never appeared psychotic. The chaplain testified Clancy described a male voice ordering her to kill her three children and then herself — but admitted under cross-examination that in two hundred visits, she never once put that voice in her notes. 
That contradiction is now the center of the Lindsay Clancy murder trial out of Duxbury, Massachusetts. Once an insanity defense is raised, Massachusetts law shifts the burden onto prosecutors, who must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Clancy was criminally responsible when she killed her children with exercise bands. To win, the state needs jurors to decide the chaplain missed the most important disclosure of her career, or that Clancy built the story after she survived her own fall from a suicide attempt. The phone forensics complicate both theories — searches for "symptoms of postpartum psychosis," a mapped route for her husband's errand, and a takeout order timed to clear him out of the house. 
The defense says she was drowning in a medical system that kept changing her prescriptions without hearing her. The prosecution says the planning tells the real story. This episode breaks down what's left for the jury to decide before closing arguments, expected the week of August 24.
