Trial Of Caleb Flynn Day 5: Wilhelm Reveals WHAT Vanished Before Ashley Died?!

Special Agent Joseph Wilhelm testified about what investigators recovered from Caleb Flynn's iPhone, including digital artifacts showing multiple apps deleted on February 15, 2026. Among them were Instagram, GroupMe and ChatGPT - one day before the death of Caleb's wife, Ashley Flynn.

Wilhelm told jurors that settings on the iPhone prevented his first extraction attempt from succeeding. He switched forensic tools and was able to perform a full extraction. That data, he testified, also contained artifacts associated with incognito browsing.

Then came the wearable data. Wilhelm walked through information from an Apple Watch identified as @CalebApplesWatch, including recorded steps, AirPods connections and a final heart-rate recording at 2:10:11 a.m. Investigators also recovered the audio file of a song Caleb wrote for Alleigha Botner. Jurors heard the song in court.

Caleb has pleaded not guilty to charges in Ashley's murder. Prosecutors allege he killed her and staged the scene as a home invasion, while the defense maintains an intruder was responsible. Wilhelm's testimony does not make the interpretation for the jury. It gives them timestamps, device activity and recovered artifacts to place beside the competing accounts of that night.
