Caleb Flynn’s Defense Heard 107,000 Texts and Gave the Jury THIS

After forty prosecution witnesses and 107,000 text messages, Caleb Flynn’s defense attorneys gave the jury one sentence: “A man can fail as a husband without being a murderer.” Then they rested. Zero witnesses. Zero experts.

The prosecution’s case was built from Caleb’s own words. The state’s digital analyst organized his texts with mistress Alleigha Botner into categories — “Kill Ashley, Ashley Dead/Gone, Rid of Ashley” and “About Hating Ashley,” which contained ninety-five messages over ten months. On February 10, 2025, he wrote: “I need her to die.” He called his wife “douche” and texted Botner: “Kill douche.”

Caleb told Botner what divorce would cost — his daughters, his income, his house, and his position at the church where they both worked. He promised to leave. He promised again. He never did. By February 2026, Botner had planned a date with someone else.

In September 2025, Botner researched how to permanently erase their communications across four platforms and sent Caleb the instructions. Her assessment: “Not even lawyers with a subpoena.” The prosecution recovered everything.

On February 14, Caleb texted: “I’m free. Shouldn’t text or leave any trails.” On February 15: “Actions will come tomorrow.” At 12:42 AM, now February 16: “It’s happening, Alleigha.” At 12:45: “I choose you. Goodnight.” Ashley Flynn was found shot twice in her home that morning.

When Botner heard, she asked Caleb: “Were you behind this?” Closing arguments begin Tuesday. The jury has already read the texts.
